Go to the Home PageThe annual Camarillo airshow was held on August 23 and 24, 2003. It featured the aircraft of the Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force and Chapter 723 of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Beech C-45H, N2833G Beech C-45H, N2833G is registered to Ross Diehl at Chino. It was built in 1951.

Lockheed C-121C Super Constellation, N73544 Lockheed C-121C Super Constellation, N73544 Camarillo Connie has been registered to Daryoush Younesi at Tarzana since 1992. It was built in 1955, and its Lockheed construction number is 4175. It was delivered to the Air Force as 54-0156 on November 1, 1955. The Smithsonian Institute acquired it from storage at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona in June 1972 in order to trade it to Aviation Specialties for the Boeing 307 Stratoliner, N19903 Clipper Flying Cloud. Aviation Specialties registered it as N73544 in March 1973 and retired it in 1976. Globe Air Inc. bought it in February 1981 and sold it to Mehrdad Khoramian in December 1982. It is being leased by a Dutch restoration group for a European tour next year.

Lockheed EC-121T Warning Star, N5487GF There is good news about Lockheed EC-121T Warning Star, N548GF. The corrosion in the wing has been repaired and it is airworthy again. It was built as an RC-121D, and its Lockheed construction number is 4363. The EC-121T designation reflected its conversion from airborne early warning to electronic reconnaissance.

Yak-11, N11WY Re-engineered Yak-11, N11WY was extensively modified by Wayne Wainwright in 1994.

Lockheed C-130J Hercules of the California ANG Six-bladed propellers distinguish the Lockheed C-130J Hercules, 01-1461 of the 146th Airlift Wing, based at Channel Islands ANG Station.

Beech RC-45J, N75018 Rides in Beech RC-45J, N75018 were available for $40.00. It spent a number of years in the collection of the Pima Air Museum near Tucson, Arizona. It flew for the Navy as BuNo 29585, and it still carries that number.

Republic RC-3 Turbo conversion, C-GNVS Republic RC-3 Turbo conversion, C-GNVS was built in 1947. It was formerly registered in the United States as N6258K.

Canadair Shooting Star (T-33A), N99192 Canadair Silver Star CT-133 (license built Lockheed T-33A), N99192 is registered to the Blossom Company of Wilmington, Delaware. it was biult in 1953.

Hispano Ha-200R1 Saeta The design of the Spanish built Hispano Ha-200R1 Saeta was influenced by Willy Messerschmitt.

North American AT-6 Texan North American AT-6 Texan.

L29 Delphin Czechoslovakian Aero Vodochody L29 Delphin, N50DG has been registered to Corporate Development Services of Carson City, Nevada since October 2000. It was built in 1968.

North American B-25J Mitchell, N30801 Executive Sweet North American B-25J Mitchell, N30801 Executive Sweet has been registered to the American Aeronautical Foundation of Thousand Oaks since 1985. Its Army Air Force serial number was 44-30801 and its North American construction number is 108-35126. It was converted to the TB-25N configuration before its retirement by the Air Force. It was registered as N3699G by Avery Aviation of Greybull, Wyoming in 1963. Filmways Inc. of Hollywood acquired it in 1968 for use in the movie Catch-22. Challenge Publications bought it in 1972 and changed its registration to N30801 in 1978.

TS-11 Iskra TS-11 Iskra

Feisler Fi-156C Storch, NX41FS Fiesler Fi-156C Storch, NX41FS was built under license by Moraine Saulnier in France in 1944. It has been registered to Steve Ericson since 1997. It is based at the Milestones of Flight Museum at Fox Field near Lancaster. Its original 8-cylinder inverted-V engine has been replaced with a horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine.

Hawker Sea Fury in Dutch Navy colors Hawker Sea Fury T Mk.20, NX51SF wears the colors of the Dutch Konmarine. It was formerly registered in the United Kingdom as G-BCOV.

Curtiss C-46F Commando, N78774 Tinker Bell and C-46F, N53594 China Doll Curtiss C-46F Commando, N78774 Tinker Bell and C-46F, N53594 China Doll. China Doll arrived at Camarillo 21 years ago. It served the Army Air Force as 44-78663. Its Curtiss construction number is 22486. Tinker Bell wears its original Army Air Force serial number, 44-78774. Its Curtiss construction number is 22597. It is temporarily at Camarillo getting an engine overhaul.

North American P-51D Mustang, N514DK North American P-51D Mustang, N514DK is registered to DK Warbirds at Las Vegas. Its North American construction number is 124-48311. Its orginal Army Air Force serial number was 45-11558. It was registered as N6175C by Aerodynamics Inc. of Pontiac, Michigan in 1963. James Gorman of Mansfield, Ohio bought it in 1966 and then sold it to Herbert Rupp of Port Salerno, Florida. It crashed in Georgia in 1967 and was rebuilt using parts of 44-74829 and 44-73822. It was registered to John Dilly of Auburn, Indiana in 1969. John Rutherford of Fort Worth, Texas acquired it in 1978. It was sold to Courtesy Aircraft of Rockford, Illinois in 1982 and then to Joe Kasperoff at Montebello, California a year later. It crashed on take-off at Van Nuys on August 6, 1985.

North American P-51D Mustang, N151DP North American P-51D Mustang, N151DP Cottonmouth is owned by David Price. The original serial number of a major fraction of the airplane was 44-73973. After retirement from the U.S.A.F. in 1951, it was transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force as 9281. It entered the U.S. civil register as N6325T in 1957. After passing through the ands of several owners, it was sold to the FA Salvadorena in 1969. It returned to the United States in 1974 and was registered as N37FF by Flaherty Factors Inc. of Monterey, California. Jerry Janes of Vancouver, British Columbia restored 44-73973 with parts from several other FAS Mustangs over the period from 1975 to 1978. It was registered in Canada as C-GJCJ in 1979. David Price bought it in 1983 and registered it as N51JC. A year later he changed its registration to N151DP. He raced it as #49. It crashed at Reno in 1988 and was subsequently restored.

Hawker Hurricane Mk 12, N678DP Hawker Hurricane Mk IIb, N678DP was built as RCAF 5481. Its Hawker construction number is 60372. It was displayed in the Jack Arnold Aviation Museum in Brantford, Ontario before being acquired by Charles Church Limited of Sandown, UK which registered it as G-ORGI in 1989. David Price imported it into the United States in 1992.

Martin 404, N636X Martin 404, N636X is operated by Airliners of America in the colors of Pacific Air Lines. It was delivered to TWA on July 16, 1952, registered as N40429. Its name was Skyliner Peoria. In 1959 it was sold to California Airmotive Corporation. Subsequently it was owned by E. F. McDonald, James McAlister, Montex Drilling Corporation, Airworld Incorporated, Whitesell Construction Corporation, Joe Simpkins Oil, Tiffany Industries Isd., Phase II Incorporated, and Sun & Wind Incorporated. It is currently registered to Skylease Incorporated of Wilmington, Delaware.

Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat, N1078Z Minsi III Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat, N1078Z Minsi III. Its Grumman construction number is A-5634. John Sandberg recovered it from the Fergus Falls Airport in Minnesota in 1962. It was subsequently owned by Lloyd Nolan and Ed Messick.

Bushmaster 2000, N750RW Stout Bushmaster 2000, N750RW was built in 1985. It is a modified version of the Ford Tri-Motor.

The Bushmaster 2000 is operated by Tri-Motor Air Tours and is based at the Long Beach Airport. Call 1-800-493-3003 to fly in it.

Antonov An-2, N2AN Big Panda Antonov An-2, N2AN Big Panda was built in 1984. It has been registered to Carl Hays of San Diego since 1993.
